Battle of Britain Commemoration were held Sunday 11th September in brilliantly fine weather. There were two late changes to the speakers due to the passing of Queen Elizabeth: His Excellency Dr Richard Davies, Consort to the Governor-General and RAF Wing Commander Andy Bryant UK Defence Advisor to the New Zealand Government had to withdraw at the last minute. Otherwise everything went a planned, supported by the Kerepehi Brass Band.
