The Minister of Defence, Hon Judith Collins has had to cancel her attendance at the
Thames Battle of Britain Commemorations this year, due to more pressing matters.
This is very sad, but we are pleased to announce that the Associate Minister of Defence, Hon. Chris Penk, will be with us, and will take over the Minister’s role including the unveiling of the statue with Lesley Park, great niece of Sir Keith Park.
Chris Penk’s attendance is significant as he also holds the role of Minister for Veterans, an organisation that has made a substantial donation to the Memorial Project.
